SDHF Newsletter No.10: Using Primary Source Materials to Clarify the Nanking Incident
The most important primary source for examining the Nanking Incident is “Documents
of the Nanking Safety Zone,” the activity report of the International Committee for the Safety Zone
and published by Kelly & Walsh in Shanghai in 1939 under the auspices of Chinese Nationalist
government agency. This essay clarifies what really happened in Nanking based on this primary
source. It is now uploaded in our site.
